Description
White Peony is a type of white tea produced in Fuding, Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. It is named “White Peony” because its green leaves are sandwiched with silvery-white buds, which resemble blooming flowers. After brewing, the green leaves hold the silvery-white buds, just like a white peony bud just blooming.
White Peony is mainly made from one bud and one or two leaves of the short buds and new shoots of the big white tea trees in Zhenghe and Fuding, or a small amount of Narcissus species. It is the best quality white tea and is also called Fuding Dabai, Zhenghe Dabai and Narcissus Bai.
After brewing, the White Peony Tea has a beautiful and gorgeous shape, a sweet, mellow and fragrant taste, a bright apricot yellow soup color, tender leaves with a light gray bottom and slightly red veins, and is known as “red dressed in white”.
Brewing water temperature: Warm the tea leaves at 90 degrees, allow the tea leaves to expand, then brew with 85-degree water, let it sit for 1 minute before drinking.
